Because I Met You

Preparing my mind for finalizing the output files for this post, I, once more, dived into the soundtrack of and watched some of my favorite moments in Bubble (2022 film)... and my eyes now hurt as I'm typing all this out. Hahahaha. Crying your eyeballs out in preparation for a post like this is not recommended, but it's the natural effect of reliving such a beautiful tale.

I personally believe a lot of people missed out on immersing themselves into the storytelling methods unique to it. For me, taking it all in through the visuals and music was one unforgettable experience and probably the best way to understand what it was saying, especially since both protagonists state a lot more with their actions rather than their words. After all, this isn't a series that's meant to explain a lot of things slowly and surely. It's a poetic movie with a lot of things open to interpretation by the end without feeling empty once you get a firm grasp of its intent as an art piece. And I love how it's also a blend of fantasy, science fiction, and a bit of cosmic horror, too.

So, here's me dedicating this illustration/painting of Uta to those that made such a magical film possible. I have loads more to say about why I fell in love with Bubble so much and how it affected my very core and being... but I also don't want to spoil it for those that haven't seen it yet and would like to give it a fair chance. A chance that I, too, missed out on back then for believing the reviews that I read about it.

Thank you, Lawleighette, for recommending this to me! It would have been highly unlikely I'd have seen this properly without your input.

Anyway, hoping y'all like how I've interpreted Uta and the film's vibe and atmosphere with my own personal style and twist. All the best!
God bless!!!
